Application Instructions
Eligibility
Candidates applying from overseas who do not have a valid New Zealand work permit at the time of application are not automatically eligible to apply for a House Officer position in the 1st Match of the ACE system. This is due to current New Zealand Immigration Law which states that preference must be given to New Zealand Residents/Citizens and those holding a valid work permit allowing them to work in a New Zealand District Health Board full time i.e. 40 hours a week. However, the ACE Centre will hold your application for the purposes of a second Match, in the event that there are insufficient candidates to fill all vacancies within the New Zealand District Health Boards.
